When I first got into hip-hop, it wasn't always for the passion
Back when I was little, it was all about the fashion
The shoes, the hats, the jewelry, the cars, the cash and
All the other shit the rappers on TV was always flashin'
Back when I was little, it was all about the fashion
The shoes, the hats, the jewelry, the cars, the cash and
All the other shit the rappers on TV was always flashin'
But then I had to change the way that I view things
When I was 13, and listening to Wu-Tang
C.R.E.A.M., Tical, Protect Ya Neck, and Triumph
Listening to how Inspectah Deck was droppin' that science
First time I tried rhyming, I was anything but nice
Believed to be the best, and never took any advice
Then I took up beatmaking
Came across FL Studio, but lessons I wasn't taking
Posting beats on YouTube, hoping for a chance of recognition
But they overlooked me, and never gave a chance to listen
That was when I started to rhyme again
After listening to the War Report by CNN
Put out my first tape trying to get my music out
Looking back then, it just sounds kinda stupid now
Took a five-month break and wrote some more shit
My bond with the lyrics growing tighter than a corset
Continuing to master with the passion still calling me
Rest of the story? Just wait and see, because there's more to me
